According to Decision 261/QD-BYT 2022 of the Ministry of Health, people with COVID-19 (infected people) can get at-home treatment including:
- Patients with no or mild clinical symptoms;
- Patients with no signs of pneumonia or hypoxia: respiratory rate < 20 breaths per minute; SpO2 > 96%; abnormal breathing such as groaning, chest indrawing, nasal flaring, wheezing, stridor on inhalation;
- Patients with no underlying medical conditions, or have underlying medical conditions but are receiving stable treatment.
Severe cases such as severe pneumonia, sepsis, severe respiratory failure, septic shock, multi-organ failure need intensive resuscitation care.
